How to Archive a Home Once Construction is Complete
For Builder Admins needing to archive a home once construction is complete. You will no longer be able to post updates and it will be removed from the homes available in the Builder Signal Mobile App.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Log into the Builder Signal Dashboard as a Builder Admin
Ensure you’re logged into the web application with your admin credentials. Only Builder Admins can archive homes. - Navigate to the Homes Dashboard Page
From the navigation tools at the top of the screen, click Homes. - Select the Home You Want to Archive
Find the home you want to archive by using the search boxes or scroll through the list. - Archive the Home
From the Actions menu, click Edit Home. Scroll to the Additional Settings module and use the Home Status drop-down menu and select Archived. Scroll back to the top of the Edit Home screen and click Save. The home will now be in the Archived list of homes. - Impacts of Archiving a Home
Once a home is archived, it can no longer be updated and will be removed from the Builder Signal Mobile App, making it inaccessible to all assigned App Users. Archiving a home also stops any ongoing billing associated with that home. - Activate an Archived Home
For your team to make updates, a home must be in Active status. To reactivate an archived home go the Homes > Archived and select the desired home. From the Actions drop-down click Edit Home. Navigate to Additional Settings > Home Status. Choose Active from the drop-down menu and click Save. The home will be restored to the Active homes list, visible in the Builder Signal Mobile App and available for updates.
Common Issues:
- What Happens to the Homeowner's Personalized Website when a Home is Archived?
Homeowners will continue to have access to their personalized website even if their home is in Archived status. They will be able to view all updates made to their home on their construction timeline.
