Homeowner Website Performance Improvements in Builder Signal
As of May 2025 Homeowner websites load faster, photo and video updates open faster and the overall customer experience is dramatically improved.
What Changed?
Previously, when a homeowner (or admin) opened an update timeline, Builder Signal would begin loading every update for that home all at once. That worked fine for homes with a few dozen updates. But for homes with 50 or even 100+ updates it could take several minutes for the full timeline — photos and videos included — to load completely.
Now, we've re-engineered how timelines are processed and displayed.
- Updates are loaded in smaller, faster batches.
The first 10 updates appear right away, giving users a quick and seamless experience. - Additional updates load in the background.
While homeowners (or admins) browse through the most recent updates, older ones are being processed behind the scenes - much faster than before. - Photos and videos render more quickly.
Opening individual updates feels almost instantaneous, even on homes with a high volume of updates.
What does this mean for you and your homeowners.
- Faster, smoother experience
- Highly professional impression - things feel more fluid and responsive
- Improved performance for everyone - even with homes that have dozens, or even hundreds, of updates
