FQA_About Builder Signal Roles - Homeowners

The Homeowner is the primary person that will receive updates for their home.

Homeowner

  • Email notifications will be sent to the Homeowner's email address when updates are made. Email Service Providers  (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), may initially direct those messages to a Junk/Spam folder. If the Homeowner drags those messages to their Inbox, future update notification emails will likely reach the inbox directly.
  • Only one Homeowner can be assigned to a home. However, any number of people, other than the Homeowner, can receive email notifications to view home updates. Other interested parties may include spouses, partners, relatives, Realtors, and even internal builder staff. Use the Additional Email Recipients field in the New Home setup to add those other email addresses.
  • Once a Homeowner is created by a Builder Admin, they can be sent an invitation to download the Builder Signal mobile app using the Send App Invite function. It will trigger an email to the Homeowner, including a link to download the Builder Signal app and to set a password.
  • Homeowners that have the Builder Signal app will continue to receive email notifications when updates are made. Clicking those links will take them to the web version of Builder Signal. Those updates will also be visible when the Homeowner is logged-in to the mobile app.
  • Homeowners only have access to updates for their own home, either through their unique Builder Signal website or through the Builder Signal Mobile App.
  • Homeowners that have multiple homes must be set-up as distinct Homeowners, each with a separate email address for every home. This allows Builder Admins to assign a unique Homeowner to each home and ensures Builder Signal accurately sends updates to the appropriate Homeowner's email address.
