R_How to Add and Edit Building Phases

For Builder Admins responsible for adding and editing Building Phases. Since every Builder Signal Update requires the selection of a Building Phase, create phases and descriptions that align with key construction milestones.

 

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Log into Builder Signal as an Admin
    Ensure you’re logged into the system with your admin credentials. Only Builder Admins can create and manage the Building Phases.
  2. Navigate to the Building Phases Setup Page
    Go to the drop-down Menu in the upper-right hand corner of the screen and click Settings and then Building Phases.
  3. Click ‘Add New Phase'
  4. Enter Building Phase Details
    These will be displayed to the customer every time an update is made.
    Titles should be brief and specific.
    Descriptions should be written with a good amount of detail and with a "tone" that speaks to customers that are unfamiliar with the steps and activities that are part of the construction process.
  5. Chronologically Order Your Building Phases
    Use the drop-and-drag functionality to organize your Building Phases in the proper sequence. Click on the number to the left of the Title and drag it to its proper place. As you move a Building Phase, the numbers of the Building Phases will automatically be adjust to the chronological order you have selected.
  6. Editing Building Phase Content
    You can make changes to any Building Phase. Use the arrow (>) at the right side of your Titles to expand and collapse the content. You can edit the Title and Description, or use the Delete Phase to entirely remove a Building Phase.
  7. Review and Confirm
    Double-check all the information you’ve entered. Review the Title, Description and Order of your Building Phases.
  8. Save and Finish.
    Click Save Phases to finalize your changes. If you try to navigate away from the Building Phases page without saving your changes, a pop-up warning will be displayed to alert you that your changes have not been saved.

Common Issues:

  • Can't Add or Edit Building Phases?
    Ensure you’re logged into the web application with your admin credentials. Only Builder Admins can add and edit Building Phases.
  • New Building Phases Not Appearing for Updates?
    Ensure you click Save Phases during the set-up process.
